"I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The staff was super friendly and explained that there would be a wait for our food because they we very busy. This was much appreciated. We both enjoyed our food. I had the Croque Madame which was delicious. My Dad had the Hangover Bowl which he loved as well. Both of us brought food home, as we were stuffed. Will definitely be back!"

"They really need a sign instructing customers to seat themselves so new customers aren't standing in the doorway feeling stupid. I got frustrated with the wait and no one bothered to say anything until I asked. The employees weren't necessarily rude, but they seemed to want to be anywhere else. The food is okay at best. One thing I liked about my salad was the shredded lettuce. It made it much easier to eat than whole pieces and there weren't any stems. The brisket sandwich looked and tasted old and the bun was too flimsy to support the filling. The decor is cute. But the whole place needs a good cleaning. The bathroom was small and filthy and I hit my head on the paper towel dispenser, which was situated directly over the toilet."

"Overall a good experience. Beans and coleslaw were pretty bland. Add some lore seasoning and they're good. Huge menu . Would definitely eat there again."

"Long wait for the food but it was worth it. Our waitress was so nice and on point the whole time. Definitely make a stop here. The catfish was so good. The mac and cheese was delicious!"

"This was my second visit while in the area with the first being 3 years ago; we decided to give it another try because we're drawn to "all-day breakfast" joints with homemade desserts and greasy cheeseburgers Lol. As others have said, there's a lack of reception when you walk in and both visits I felt like I was standing in the way while staff moved around us; the first visit I chalked it up to it being during a busy, midday lunch rush and possibly being short handed...a young lady finally walked by and kindly told us to find a table. That visit we all enjoyed tasty, greasy cheeseburgers and homemade pie. There were some hiccups with incorrect orders but we were a large-ish party of 7 and everyone still enjoyed the food and the laid back 50's diner vibe. This second visit two of us came between breakfast and lunch during a slow Monday morning and not knowing if it is customary in this establishment to seat ourselves or wait to be seated, we stood there while the two nearest employees (one working behind the hostess booth and we were close enough to shake hands) never acknowledged us...finally another employee hussled by after bussing tables and informed us we could find a seat. With extensive family and personal background in the restaurant industry, I appreciate the amount of work that goes into running/working in a restaurant and I understand that it is an exhausting job with long hours. However, letting patrons know seating standards without them having to ask is hospitality 101. Lastly while the first visit our service was mediocre and the lunch meal was tasty, this time both service and food left much to be desired. After bringing our coffee, we didn't see our server until the end of our meal. The lady who was standing at the hostess booth, brought our food in stages....first the pancakes and waffle but no syrup or butter. By the time the butter came which was fetched from a box in the fridge, the pancakes/waffle were room temp and the butter was useless. Eventually someone returned to refill our coffee but the entire visit left us feeling like unwelcomed guests in this "house"."
